After 4 months of hiatus, in which nothing has happened on my website, there is finally new content today. I grabbed the renderer again and had fun with Povray and astronomical raw data.
Victim this time was planet Mars, of which I created a few quick shots. Without paying much attention to quality, color choice or settings, just go for it. The result is several global views, close-ups and of course nothing works without a video that shows a full rotation or a Mars day.
More pictures and background information can be found on the page Mars Renderings - First Results.
Have fun,
Ma
