During my eternal search for astronomical databases, tables and catalogs, I came across two text files in mid-2025 that list more or less all lunar craters and other surface features.
They do not impress with their accuracy, for longitude and latitude there is only one digit after the decimal point and none at all for diameter or longest extent. But together they add up to almost 9,000 entries and probably contain all "features" (craters, mare, mountains,...) over a kilometer in size.
I converted the text files into a database table and added several columns that are needed for a stress-free display.
As always I provide the results for download, as SQL import file and Povray array.
See: Download - Lunar Crater Catalogue - LCC 1.0
I will provide reasonable maps and sample images later. The corresponding Povray script needs to be further refined for this, which is much more work than originally thought.
Have fun with it,
Ma
